So far today: the clocks are set back, laying in bed was nice. French toast breakfast is allowed when there is no work to be done. We love the weekends. Coffee is like a weekend reward. This morning we were able to talk about our wedding plans. How its all coming together so nicely - and affordably. *only 8 months and 3 days till our wedding.*

Yesterday ended my first session of student teaching. I am now on my day off between Elementary and High School Sessions. I have to arrive bright and early tomorrow -7:40!!!! *gulp* I have to say I really did enjoy this placement. What a wonderful bunch of students (overall). I have to finish working on my notebook and purchase my cap and gown today. :o) Yay me! Half way home!

Columbus weekend we went for a nice little hike. Just north east of Lake George, Sleeping Beauty mountain is a great short hike with a rewarding rock face. It was a pity that there seemed to be an unannounced dog show at the top. There was seriously every breed of dog imaginable. This was the first time I personally experienced being warm on a peak. Silly me brought a sweatshirt for nothing. This was well needed as a break from my last semester. : ) No better way to see the autumn foliage.

It's a Bad Day Illustrated by Glin Dibley, I saw this book today and it reminded me of my the kids I teach. The constant "portable snacktime". Its so gross its humorous. I have about two weeks left at my first placement. I think I am ready for high schoolers.
